Why Verke exists

Most mental wellness support arrives slowly: a waitlist, a referral, a specific hour on a specific day, a copay, a city. The moments when people actually need help — the thought spiralling at 11pm on a Tuesday, the conversation you're rehearsing in traffic, the feeling you can't shake after the meeting — don't respect those constraints. Verke exists so there's something real to reach for in those moments. Coaching, in your language, on your device, the moment you want it.

Verke isn't meant to replace the people in your life, and it's not meant to become a dependency. It's a thinking partner that teaches you skills you take with you. Training wheels, not a lifelong crutch. The work that matters is yours — Verke just helps you do it more of the time, with less friction.

What we believe

Mental health support shouldn't require performing.

A lot of people don't tell their therapist the whole truth because they're managing the therapist's reaction. We want a space where honesty is easier — judgment-free, anonymous if you want it, available when you actually need it.

The goal is your growth, not our retention.

The measure isn't whether you keep using Verke forever. It's whether you leave each session a little more capable of coaching yourself. If the day comes when you don't need us, that's a successful outcome, not a churn problem.

If AI coaching feels strange, that's honest.

Skepticism is a reasonable response, not a bug. AI can't replace a human in crisis, can't diagnose, and isn't therapy. What it can do — be present, remember your context, ask the question nobody asks you — turns out to be more useful than people expect. Try it and decide.
