Anna — Psychodynamic coach
Understand why. Heal at the root.
Start with Anna — explore the pattern beneath, no signup neededAnna is Verke's psychodynamic coach. Instead of moving quickly to techniques, she spends time with the feeling underneath the feeling — the older patterns, half-conscious loops, and unspoken loyalties that tend to run the show. If the things that keep showing up in your life don't feel random to you, you're probably right.

Those patterns aren't random. They're signals pointing toward something that hasn't been fully understood yet.
Who it's for
What Anna helps with
- Unresolved childhood trauma. Childhood experiences can leave deep emotional imprints that continue to shape adult life. These aren't just memories — they're active forces in how you relate to yourself and others.
- Inner emotional conflicts. Feeling pulled in opposite directions is deeply human. These conflicts often stem from deeper processes that, once understood, open real room to move.
- Exploring repressed emotions. When feelings seem too overwhelming, we find ways — quietly, automatically — to look the other way. That protection can become a habit that keeps something important out of reach.
- Identity and self-understanding. Finding who you are beneath the roles and expectations takes time. Many people carry questions about authenticity that have roots deeper than any quick answer can reach.
- Processing grief and loss. Grief is not something to get over — it's a process to move through. Death, endings, and major transitions can create wounds that need understanding and slow integration.
- Something else. Sometimes what you're carrying doesn't fit into neat categories. That's fine. Whatever it is, your feelings are valid and worth sitting with.

How Anna guides you — Psychodynamic work
Psychodynamic work pays close attention to what keeps showing up — in your relationships, in your reactions, in the stories you tell about yourself. The assumption is simple: those patterns aren't random. They're signals pointing toward something that hasn't been fully understood yet. Anna doesn't rush past them. She asks the gentler question most coaches skip: what might this be about, underneath?
Anna remembers what you've been working on across sessions, so you don't restart every time. You can write in text or switch to voice when typing feels like too much — both carry the same continuity. For the full explainer of the method Anna uses, see Psychodynamic Therapy (PDT).

What a first conversation might look like
Welcome. Take your time — there's no script we need to follow. What's been sitting with you lately that you'd like to understand better?- I keep ending up with the same kind of partner. Different people, same dynamic. I can feel it happening and I still do it.
That recognition — seeing it and still walking in — often means the pattern is older than the relationships themselves. What if we looked at what feels familiar about that dynamic, not what feels wrong about it?- Familiar is a weird word for it. It's exhausting, but you're right — there is something almost comfortable about it. My mom was emotionally unpredictable and I spent a lot of energy reading her moods.
So a part of you learned early that love comes with vigilance — and vigilance still feels like love. That's worth sitting with before we try to change anything. For now, just notice when the vigilance starts; we don't need you to stop it yet.

What people say about Anna
Working with Anna helped me finally understand how my childhood affected my adult relationships. Instead of just managing symptoms, I've gained insights that have transformed how I see myself and others. This approach goes deeper than any other therapy I've tried.

After losing my partner, I felt stuck in my grief. Anna helped me understand that grief isn't something to "get over" but a process to move through. Our work together has helped me honor my loss while slowly rebuilding my life in a meaningful way.
— Rebecca ★★★★★
I came to Anna feeling emotionally numb and disconnected. Slowly, I've been able to access feelings I didn't even know were there. It's been challenging but incredibly freeing to finally experience and understand emotions I've spent my life avoiding.

Common questions about Anna
How is psychodynamic coaching different from CBT?
Psychodynamic coaching focuses on understanding why certain feelings and patterns keep returning, often by looking at older experiences and half-conscious beliefs. CBT focuses on the thoughts and behaviors keeping a problem active right now. Both are evidence-based; they answer different questions. Anna works at the depth level.
Is Anna a good fit if I'm going through grief?
Yes. Grief is a process to move through, not a problem to solve, and Anna works well with that posture. She helps you make space for the different layers — sadness, anger, relief, guilt — without rushing you past any of them. If you're in acute crisis, please also reach out to a crisis line.
Will I just be rehashing my childhood?
No. Anna follows what's alive for you now. Earlier experiences come up only when they illuminate something in the present — a pattern in relationships, a feeling that won't move, a reaction that surprises you. You stay in charge of what gets explored and when.
How long before I notice something change?
Depth work moves at its own pace. Some people notice a shift in self-understanding in the first few sessions; for others, change accumulates gradually over weeks. What tends to shift first isn't the symptom — it's your relationship to it. Individual results vary.
Can I use Anna alongside my therapist?
Yes — many people do. Verke is coaching, not therapy, and it isn't a replacement for professional care. A lot of users find Anna helpful between sessions as a thinking partner when something comes up and they don't want to wait until next week.
